Medical Director
Dr. Bauer currently serves as the Chief of Thoracic Surgery at the eighth largest surgical volume hospital in the country. He serves on the Operating Room Block Committee and Start Time Task force which monitor OR efficiency and policy. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Jefferson Medical College and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences at the University of Delaware. He participates in multiple national and international organizations as well as serving on many committees within these organizations.

Dr. Bauer has 22 years of operating room experience. He has worked as a surgical technologist in both a medium-size community operating room as well as a large university operating room for eight years while attending college and medical school. He finished his training in both general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery and has been board certified in both.

Dr. Bauer has served as a local as well as national Principal Investigator for many clinical trials. He serves a reviewer and section editor for several medical journals and has published extensively in the medical literature. Dr. Bauer has assisted in designing several databases to enable OR efficiency and monitor clinical outcomes from disparate computer systems at his hospital.

These experiences of training and working within a spectrum of operating rooms coupled with his broad clinical experience uniquely positions Dr. Bauer to direct the medical aspect of the Cordjia Health Care Solutions Team.
